Bilingual engineering
Aaron Culbert is Australian, works from Japan, and works in English and Japanese. Meetings, documents, code review and handover notes can be in either language, so the people building the product and the people it is for are not working through a translator.
Every engagement is scoped, reviewed and signed off by Aaron, and delivered the same way as every other Anyfront engagement: read-only access for reviews, pull requests you merge, and no production secrets.
Two ways to work together
The fractional retainer: up to 40 hours a month, with roadmap and architecture ownership and a weekly call.
Quoted projects: Japan-market features, integrations or a modernisation, quoted after a discovery call or an audit.

Contracting with a Japanese company
- Your contract is with Anystack G.K., a company registered in Japan, and the terms are governed by Japanese law. Invoices come from the same company.
- Quotes and invoices in Japanese or English. Estimates (見積書) and invoices (請求書) can be issued in either language, and a qualified invoice (適格請求書) can be arranged on request.
- Priced in yen. Each yen price is set in yen, not converted from another currency.
- Bank transfer. Invoices above US$5,000, which includes the fractional retainer and every quoted project, can be paid by bank transfer, through Stripe Invoicing or Wise.
